Artist Statement
I cannot recall a time in my life when I was not passionate about being an artist, and I have been creating art for my entire life. I am continuously inspired by color, creativity, form, technique, and by the happiness created by my work. I paint things mainly as I see them. I like my paintings to express a lot of emotion, and I want my paintings to grab and mesmerize people, evoking emotion. I enjoy creating in many different mixed media, but acrylic painting is my medium of choice.
Education
I am schooled in Fine Arts, with a background in drawing, illustration, painting, and color theory.
A.A. County College of Morris, May 1988 – Major: Humanities/Art.
B.A. Montclair State University, May 1990 – Major: Fine Arts/Studio.
